Collective Intelligence Data Analysis
Positions available: 1-4 (1-2 teams of 1-2) LUCA Theory is looking to partner with a talented student[s] to contribute to our collective intelligence data analysis. We're looking for someone who is diligent and tactful to be able to help us manage data pipelines, build visualizations and run analysis. This role is for someone who is looking to get their foot in the door at an early-stage startup with the opportunity to grow. LUCA is a collective intelligence startup based out of Montreal. We are committed to helping power decision-making in a variety of fields with our goal to overcome cognitive biases and be less wrong. We primarily work remotely and get together for key sessions when it dictates. About the Role We are continuing to evolve our data analysis strategy, increase our impact in the collective intelligence market and improve our product offering. To expand our ability to generate novel insights and identify superforecasters within our platform, we are eager to partner with a student to assist with our collective intelligence data analysis. To support our data analysis we are looking for a student to contribute to the following: * Clean event data from recent collective intelligence contests to make uniform; * Perform data analysis on datasets with the eye to identify superforecasters and prepare to build artificial intelligence algorithms; * Contribute to the development of an automated backend and overall rapid response algorithm; * Assists in general database management and organization. This role may be split up amongst a pair of students/teams, depending on profiles and mandates. About You You are an undergrad, master's student, MBA or otherwise passionate student looking for a new opportunity to add to your portfolio. You have a strong knowledge of data analysis platforms, an active portfolio and a keen analytical mind. You have the ability to learn new platforms quickly and easily. Podcast Hosting Migration: Updating Episodes
The goal of this project is to update podcast episodes with migration to new hosting and to check all shownotes for correct links, promotions, and resources. This will also include updating the podcast website for user experience. There are over 160 podcast episodes. Depending on proficiency and experience the student is expected to update as many podcast episodes as possible.
Website Development : Image selection and manipulation
The goal of DesignBot is to provide industrial designers with variations of their product design ideas. In such, we want to use the SVG image format since this format is already standardized and widely used by designers. We would like to collaborate with students to improve the UI of our website by improving the current functionalities as well as including functionalities that will allow the user to select and manipulate parts of images. The main objective of this project is to develop and maintain cutting-edge software solutions for Wouessi Inc., tailored to meet the diverse needs and objectives of our clients. Additionally, the project aims to provide comprehensive IT support and managed services to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of our digital infrastructure. Problem to Solve/Expected Outcome: Learners participating in this project will be tasked with developing innovative software solutions and providing ongoing support to ensure the seamless operation of our digital services. By the end of the project, learners are expected to achieve proficiency in software development methodologies, IT project management, and technical support practices within the context of Wouessi's digital ecosystem.
Enhance the existing website on WordPress for Health Academy
HAPPY NUTRITION aims to enhance its Health Academy site by improving its existing online learning platform on Wordpress, adding more content and functionality, and creating user-friendly experience. SEO optimization is also required. The project will require learners to apply their knowledge of web development and user interface design. Key tasks include designing the course layout, adding slides, ensuring payment functionalities, and ensuring seamless interaction.
Mobile App Front End Revision & New Features Development
We are building an mobile app that helps people in Toronto to look for new frends to join activities. We need to revise our UX/ UI desgin to fix some UX issues through the front end such as chagning colour theme, buttons, minimzing fonts, organize tabs, and ranking activites in order of dates, add blocks which suggest activites that users might be interested Potentially design new features if enough time such as adding a chat feature. We would like to work with students to develop a new website that is easy to maintain while providing an appealing interface for users. This can be achieved through common site building tools such as Wix, Webflow, and WordPress. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Researching different site-building tools and their associated advantages / disadvantages. Conducting a needs analysis to determine which platform is most suitable. Building a website, with our assistance in providing the content. Providing training on updating and maintaining the website. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Testing prototypes with customers and refining ideas with feedback.
