This role focuses on advancing sustainability initiatives on campus by supporting outreach efforts, event coordination, and community engagement. Participants will work closely with the Chapter Coordinator to develop and implement strategies that enhance program operations, volunteer engagement, and sustainability-focused initiatives. This opportunity provides hands-on experience in sustainability programming, leadership, and community engagement while directly supporting impactful campus initiatives.

Deliverables

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with outreach efforts, including engaging students and community members in sustainability programs.
  • Support the planning and execution of events, workshops, and campaigns focused on environmental and social impact.
  • Develop written content such as outreach materials, newsletters, and reports to promote initiatives.
  • Provide in-person support for event coordination, setup, and logistics.
  • Assist in managing program operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day execution.
  • Perform additional tasks as delegated by the Chapter Coordinator.


Requirements:

  • Mandatory in-person availability at one of the following campuses: UTSG, UTM, TMU, York, or UTSC.
  • Strong communication and outreach skills.
  • Experience or interest in event planning, community engagement, or sustainability initiatives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and take initiative in a dynamic environment.
