Sustainable Campus Initiative Enhancement
This project focuses on advancing the sustainability initiatives of Regenesis TMU on campus by developing and implementing strategies to improve operations, community engagement, and event coordination. The goal is to enhance the impact of programs such as the Bike Centre and Mutual Market. Participants will gain practical experience in leadership, organizational development, and sustainability-focused program management. They will collaborate with the Chapter Coordinator to set goals, align project priorities with Regenesis’s mission, and lead planning sessions for specific sustainability programs. The project also involves overseeing day-to-day operations, developing systems to monitor and evaluate program performance, and ensuring efficient management of key initiatives. Additionally, participants will engage in writing grants and planning and executing events, workshops, and campaigns focused on sustainability and community engagement.
Grant Writing Project
Project Overview The Grant Writing Project focuses on securing funding to support Regenesis’s programs and operations. Over the course of this project, participants will research funding opportunities and learn how to draft grant proposals, with the intent of having them successfully submit a few grant applications.
Outreach Coordinating
Regenesis is seeking to enhance its visibility and strengthen its connections within the academic and local community. The goal of this project is to develop a comprehensive outreach strategy that effectively communicates Regenesis’s initiatives to departments, professors, student clubs, and community organizations. The project will involve researching and identifying key stakeholders and their contacts, crafting engaging content for newsletters and emails, and planning lecture announcements--when necessary. By leveraging these communication channels, the project aims to increase awareness and support for Regenesis’s environmental and sustainability efforts. This initiative provides learners with the opportunity to apply their knowledge of communication strategies and stakeholder engagement in a real-world context, fostering skills in strategic planning and content creation.
Sustainable Community Engagement Initiative
The Sustainable Community Engagement Initiative aims to enhance Regenesis York's impact by developing and implementing effective outreach strategies. The project focuses on increasing community awareness and participation in sustainability efforts. Learners will work on organizing environmental campaigns and fostering partnerships with local organizations, schools, and community groups. The project provides an opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in environmental advocacy and digital communication. Participants will create educational content on sustainability and engage with the community through social media, email newsletters, and virtual forums. The ultimate goal is to strengthen community ties and promote environmental justice through informed and active participation.
