The Vancouver School of Economics (VSE) Career Centre is seeking students interested in developing and managing content for the VSE Career Centre website to modernize the site, increase user navigation convenience, and more accurately reflect our work culture, resources, and services offered to our key stakeholders.

Students would have the opportunity to:

• Audit the VSE Career Centre website; become familiar with the current website, identify and record areas that need updating, revamping, and/or new content development, visuals, and usability
• Collaborate with the marketing and communications team and the Director of the VSE Career Centre; present findings, gain insights into the teams' development needs of the website; support with goal-setting and strategy implementation to meet expectations and to improve user experience
• Curate website content and highlight the resources and services offered by the VSE Career Centre
• Assess and include accessibility features in the website framework
• Incorporate Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) strategies within the website content
• Edit and develop the VSE Career Centre website accordingly

The student will receive:

• Training, guidance and support through weekly prescheduled meetings with the Director of the VSE Career Centre, Career Centre Assistant, and the Marketing and Communications Coordinator
• Regular feedback on work performed
• Networking and connecting opportunities
• Experience working in a highly collaborative hybrid environment
• A professional reference if the project is deemed completed at a high-performance level
