Students will research and create exhibition text for an exhibition in the Coe College Gallery. Exhibition text and print photographs will be used in the future by Cedar Rapids Museum of Art to further inform our discussion of these works.

Students will examine and take notes on prints from the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art collection. They will then research their prints and create label copy suitable for an exhibition of reproductions of these prints. They will also photograph these prints to create reproductions suitable for the gallery setting. Label copy will be reviewed by Coe faculty and Cedar Rapids Museum of Art staff. Edits will be made based on recommended changes. Exhibition text and photographs of prints will be shared with Cedar Rapids Museum of Art to further inform our discussion of these works.

The museum will provide access to the prints during two class periods with staff members available to facilitate and answer questions. Staff will also provide feedback on text to students.
