Do you want to foster improved communication in your company? Bring on students from Coe College to be your learner-consultants, in a project-based experience.


Learners in this course will learn to navigate, challenge, and embrace diversity through effective and ethical communication.

Expected outcomes and deliverables

Deliverables are negotiable, and will seek to align the needs of the learners and the organization. 


Some final project deliverables might include: 

  1. A 10-15 minute presentation on key findings and recommendations
  2. A detailed report including their research, analysis, insights and recommendations

Project Examples

Requirements

Learners in groups of 3-5 will work with your company to identify your needs and provide actionable recommendations, based on their in-depth research and analysis.


Project activities that learners can complete may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Producing marketing resources and campaigns with a social justice/advocacy mission (housing insecurity, food insecurity, poverty)
  • Contributing to DEI training courses
  • Developing effective messaging for marginalized groups


Past projects include:

  • Creating communications for the YMCA's summer programming
  • Presenting researched findings on housing insecurity to a local housing board
